Iraqi Refugee Crisis:
An International Perspective

In order to bring attention to the plight of Iraqi refugees both internationally and within our own community, The Iraqi Refugee Project of the Capital District will co-sponsor a presentation by Kristèle Younès, Senior Advocate with Refugees International. Ms. Younès’ talk will be followed by a reception which will include a light meal to break the fast for those fasting for the month of Ramadan. Along with Ms. Younès and members of the Iraqi Refugee Project, several local Iraqi refugees will be in attendance to answer any questions.

This important event, entitled “The Iraqi Refugee Crisis: An International Perspective” will take place on Tuesday, September 1 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Albany Law School and is free and open to the public. Click on the photo to view the flyer for the event.

About the speaker: Kristèle Younès joined Refugees International in 2006 as an advocate after working as a Legal Officer with the Coalition for the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
